Donor Designated Funds

Fund for Public Education grants are available to all TCSD#1 schools, staff, and students.
Before you apply, please carefully read the instructions below.
HOW TO APPLY FOR FPE FUNDING:
Start by talking about your project idea with your school’s principal or your department supervisor to ensure that they support your project and your funding request, and that other funding sources aren’t already available.
For projects that will require long-term maintenance (playground equipment, garden projects, etc.), please check in with facilities department as well.
Once you have their approval, submit your application using the links above. We’ll review your application and let you know whether your request has been approved.
If your grant is approved, you will be notified by our team by email. You should then order the equipment using a district purchase order or district credit card.
You’ll then be asked to submit the purchase order or receipt to the Fund for Public Education.
We will then reimburse the district or school for the expense.
This entire process should take about 2 weeks.
FPE grants only provide funding for projects, programs, or materials that are NOT included in your school’s site budget or in the larger district budget. We do not cover salaries, international travel, or items and opportunities that would create inequities between schools.
