Higher resort town wages coupled with high cost of living means that many families do not qualify for federal support, but still need assistance.
We fill the gap with stigma-free access to the basic resources, health and nutrition students need to succeed.
Whole Child Wellness Support
Student Centered ~ Stigma Free
The Fund for Public Education offers a number of whole child wellness programs which provide free school meals, mental health care, dental care, school supplies, basic resources, and more. Most of our programs require a referral from your student’s school counselor, so the best place to start is by contacting your student’s school counselor (listed below).
Parents / guardians are welcome to directly apply for a few programs without the referral of a student’s counseling staff: Feeding the Whole and The Market. Please reach out to MacKenzie Moore, Program and Operations Director, with any questions: MacKenzie@FundforPublicEducation.org
Feeding the Whole
Feeding the Whole is a partnership between the Fund for Public Education and Teton County School District#1, which ensures that every child has access to nutritious and affordable meals at school. Feeding the Whole’s meal support initiative provides free meals and school lunch debt assistance to students in need. Qualifying families earn less than 120% of Teton County’s Median Family Income based on their household size.

The Market: Access to Basic Resources
The Market provides K-12 students in need with access to the basic resources: school supplies, winter wear (the big five), hygiene kits, laundry access, shoes, clothing and so much more. All resources are brand-new and delivered to the student’s school counselor, who gives them to the student.
